Ownership Matters

Two sources must have different owners to verify a story. Same owner = same source, regardless of how many outlets they operate.

For example: BBC and BBC World Service count as one source (same corporation). But BBC (UK public) + CBC (Canada public) = two independent sources.

This prevents verification theater where one company's error gets confirmed by another outlet they also own.
